Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our growing team and service our expanding portfolio of residential properties in Madison, WI.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, ensuring timely and professional service.
• Perform general building repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and painting.
• Troubleshoot and repair appliances and equipment as needed.
• Conduct routine inspections of properties, systems, and grounds.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work orders.
• Collaborate with staff, tenants, and vendors to ensure excellent service delivery.
• Assist with capital projects, unit turnovers, and preventative maintenance plans.
• Identify repair needs and recommend proactive solutions to improve property operations and resident experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• EPA Universal or Type I/II HVAC Certification (refrigerant handling).
• OSHA 10 or 30 Certification.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) credential (if applicable).
• Experience with boilers, chillers, and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems and fire alarms.
• Familiarity with locksmithing, key systems, and access control.
• Advanced carpentry, painting, and finishing skills.
• Experience using Entrata property management software and digital work order systems.
• Preventative maintenance program development experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to train junior technicians.

Schedule

• Full-time (Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts)
• On-call rotation required
