Construction Project Manager

Pence Companies is seeking a Project Manager responsible for successfully managing assigned construction projects and ensuring work is completed on time, on budget, safely, and with quality in partnership with the Project Superintendent. The Project Manager is responsible for day-to-day project operations, including project budget, client relationships, subcontractor relationships, and project staff.

Key responsibilities include managing project risk and profitability, project schedules, procurement, contracts, RFIs, submittals, change management, owner billing, cash flow, cost forecasting, quality control, and project documentation. The role works closely with estimating teams during preconstruction, supports bidding and GMP development, and helps ensure permitting, licensing, insurance, and startup requirements are met. The Project Manager also oversees project closeout activities, warranty management, final accounting, owner training, and punch list completion, while supporting the growth and development of subordinate employees.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering Management or a related field, or equivalent construction experience.

• Candidates should have at least six years of commercial construction management experience, three years of experience with construction software platforms, and two years of experience leading project teams.
• Strong leadership skills, critical path scheduling expertise, and a complete understanding of plans, specifications, scopes of work, and construction documents are required.
• Candidates must possess excellent communication, problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills and be proficient with Excel, Word, and Outlook. CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 10 certifications are required within six months of hire.

This position is primarily based on active construction job sites and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with flexible hours consistent with the construction industry.
