The Greater Pottsville Area Sewer Authority is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our wastewater treatment facility team. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment critical to plant operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance and a commitment to safety, reliability, and environmental compliance.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on pumps, motors, valves, conveyors, and treatment systems
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues
Conduct inspections and ensure equipment operates efficiently and within regulatory standards
Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs
e Assist with installation and upgrades of plant equipment
e Respond to emergency maintenance needs as required
Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations
High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or associate degree preferred)
Minimum of 3-5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or wastewater treatment environment
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, and equipment repair
Familiarity with PLC systems and basic instrumentation is a plus
e Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
e Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift up to 50 Ibs. Comfortable working in confined spaces, heights, and varying weather conditions e Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform manual tasks for extended periods
