Customer Service Representative - Authorizations

Choice Home Warranty is looking for a candidate who is technically minded to join our Authorizations team. To be successful in this department you should have experience as a: HVAC Technician, Electrical, Plumber, Appliance Repair Technician, Automotive Mechanic or with Computer Repair. In this role you will be speaking to field technicians to help diagnose system failures. This opportunity is a great way to get out of the cold and into a position that provides you with growth potential. Please note position is On Site at ALL times. Hours are 12:30- 9pm. No exceptions.

Authorizations Technician Responsibilities:

• Communicates warranty contract verbiage confidently and accurately to service providers.
• Examines the warranty contract and works together with the service provider to determine if a service request and/or items being serviced are covered by the warranty contract.
• Provides information to the customer regarding a determination of coverage for an item failure
• Ensures that repair costs fall within pricing guidelines.
• Communicates vendor – repair professional issues (including pricing, service, industry and trade trends, etc.) to the vendor relations Team.
• Educates service providers on Choice Home Warranty service expectations.

Technician Job Requirements:

• 1-2 years of trade experience in Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Appliance repair or, Computer repair is required, will strongly consider entry level candidates who have graduated from a Technical School.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Proficient Computer and Typing Skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Outstanding written / verbal communication skills/data entry skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
