We are looking for a career-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team and work with contractors in the residential new construction industry.

About the Position

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will work closely with residential contractors throughout the building process. You will be an important resource for our customers by helping them determine the materials they need, coordinating orders and scheduling, and making sure projects stay on track.

This is a relationship-focused sales position. We are looking for someone who will take the time to understand our customers' needs, follow through on commitments, and develop lasting relationships with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with residential contractors
• Visit jobsites and work directly with contractors on their projects
• Assist with jobsite takeoffs and determining required building materials
• Help contractors select and order the appropriate materials
• Coordinate material orders, deliveries, and scheduling
• Communicate with customers regarding orders, changes, timelines, and project needs
• Follow up consistently with customers and prospects
• Identify opportunities to develop new customers and grow existing accounts
• Work closely with inside sales, purchasing, warehouse, and delivery teams
• Ensure orders are accurate and materials are available when needed
• Resolve customer questions and issues in a professional and timely manner
• Maintain accurate customer and order information
• Provide dependable, responsive customer service from the beginning of a project through completion

Qualifications and Skills:

• Construction industry or building materials experience preferred
• Knowledge of residential construction materials preferred
• Experience working with contractors is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Outgoing personality and ability to build relationships
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong sense of urgency
• Excellent follow-up and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Willingness to learn and grow
• Basic computer skills
• Professional and dependable attitude
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
