Community School Resources Coordinator

Location:
  BARN - Teaching and Learning Center (Olean)

Description: Serve as liaison between member districts and regional service providers in the areas of mental health, counseling, and social service needs. 

Performance Responsibility:

  • Coordinate services to two or more districts related to following services: Family Resources Center, Medical Director, Early Learning Opportunities/Parent-Child, Mental and Behavioral Health, Universal Social-Emotional Screening, Rural Area After-school Programming Partnerships, K-12 Character Education/Social Emotional and Health Curriculum Support, Dental, and other programming requested by member districts and allowable by approved COSER regulations.
  • Coordinate a regional Community Schools Advisory Board to serve the needs of the district(s).
  • Coordinate and plan regional forums of service providers and facilitate discussions to improve access to those services.
  • Coordinate service agreements between member districts and service agencies to provide services requested.
  • Coordinate with member districts to develop curriculum options to provide Social, Emotional and Health curriculum support.
  • Coordinate and/or provide professional development with member districts in the areas of social, emotional, and health curriculum support.
  • Explore current district support services and expand upon those services with local, county, state and federal services.
  • Assist with DASA training and delivery.
  • Assist with Early Learning and Literacy support.
  • Assist with afterschool programming partnerships.
  • Additional duties as requested by member districts.

Terms of Employment: 12-month position

Salary: $62,500

Qualifications:

  1. NYSED Certification: School Counselor, School Psychologist, or School Social Worker, Teacher.
  2. Experience as a School Counselor, School Psychologist, School Social Worker, or Home School Liaison a plus.
  3. Certification as School Building Leader (SBL), School District Leader (SDL), School Administrator/Supervisor (SAS), or School District Administrator (SDA) OR willingness to obtain

Salary/Compensation: $62,500 per year
