MECHANIC - EQUIPMENT AND MACHINERY

Kyanite Mining Corp. in Dillwyn, VA, is seeking a full-time mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on mining equipment and machinery.

Must have experience with electrical systems, hydraulics, diesel engines, and troubleshooting.

Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm. Overtime available. Competitive salary and great benefits, including bonus, vacation, retirement, medical, and dental. Pay range: $28-$35/hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct preventative maintenance on mining equipment and machinery.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems.

• Repair and replace faulty equipment parts.

• Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and regulations.

• Document maintenance and repair activities.

• Work closely with other departments to ensure efficient operations.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Recommended Qualifications:

• Completion of a formal mechanic training program or relevant experience preferred.

• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

• Willingness to work flexible hours and on-call as needed.

Salary/Compensation: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
