HVAC Technology Instructor

SUN Area Technical Institute is seeking a permanent, full-time HVAC Technology Instructor beginning the 2026-2027 school year.

The selected candidate must either hold the PDE certificate in Heating, Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Refrigeration Maintenance Technology/Technician, CIP Code 47.0201 (Occupational Competency Area: HVAC Maintenance Technology 5937) or possess the qualifications necessary to obtain the certification.

Candidates who are not currently PDE certified must have four or more years of recent full-time, wage-earning experience beyond the training period in HVAC Maintenance and must be willing to complete the PDE-required coursework and certification process during their employment with SUN Area Technical Institute. SUN Area Technical Institute will provide support for the costs associated with obtaining the required certification.

The successful candidate must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate the ability to manage and motivate high school students.
