Knox County Landfill Employment Opportunity

The Knox County Landfill is currently accepting applications for the position of Laborer. Applications will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on July 17, 2026. This full-time position offers a starting hourly wage of $26.05, along with a comprehensive package of Knox County benefits.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of general labor tasks necessary to support landfill operations. Duties may include picking up litter and debris, installing and repairing fencing, mowing grass, cleaning buildings and facilities, painting, and completing other maintenance and groundskeeping assignments as needed.

Applicants must be dependable, hardworking, and able to perform physical labor in an outdoor environment. Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background check and a pre-employment drug screening.
