THE OPPORTUNITY
The Educational Services Commission of New Jersey (ESCNJ) is seeking a dynamic, forwardthinking Director of Technology to lead our growing department. ESCNJ is a unique public agency operating a premier Special
Services School District alongside the state's largest Cooperative Purchasing System. This
executive role requires a visionary leader
capable of balancing enterprise-grade technical brilliance, business acumen, and educational empathy to drive technology across our
statewide network.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
Enterprise Leadership & Cybersecurity: Proven experience managing IT teams, large
budgets, and complex multi-site networks, with deep expertise in systems networking, cloud
infrastructure, and strict FERPA/HIPAA
compliance.
Instructional Tech Innovation: A background in integrating assistive technologies (AT/AAC) and
adaptive software to empower special needs educators and students.
Cooperative Purchasing Synergy: The business acumen to serve as a technical advisor
for our statewide co-op, evaluating vendor technologies and standardizing procurement
specifications.
Artificial Intelligence Blueprinting: A strategic, forward-thinking vision for leveraging
automation, data analytics, and ethical AI
integration in both public education and
data-driven purchasing.
