Brake Press Operator needed in Fort Worth, TX
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced AMADA Press Brake Operator to set up, program, and operate CNC press brake equipment. This role requires strong knowledge of blueprint reading, tooling selection, and bend sequencing to produce high-quality metal components efficiently and accurately.
Shift – 1st: 5:00 am/6:00 am – 3:30 pm/4:30 pm M-F, Saturday hours available based on workload
Salary - $25-35/hr. based on experience
Brake Press Operator Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate AMADA press brake machines (RG, FBD, HFE, HRB or similar)
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
- Select and install proper tooling (punches and dies) based on job requirements
- Program and adjust CNC controls (AMNC / AB Pad preferred)
- Determine bend sequence and calculate bend allowances/deductions
- Perform first-piece inspections to verify dimensions and angles
- Monitor production runs to ensure consistency and quality
- Make machine adjustments to correct angle, alignment, or material variation issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve setup or production problems independently
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and report mechanical issues
Qualifications
- 2+ years of press brake experience (AMADA preferred)
- Proven ability to perform full machine setup and operation independently
- Strong blueprint reading and measuring skills
- Experience with CNC programming and machine controls
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes
- Ability to use measuring tools (calipers, angle gauges, tape measures)
- Strong attention to detail and quality
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multiple AMADA models and control systems
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
- Forklift or overhead crane experience (if applicable)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to [50 lbs]
- Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of metal materials

- Manufacturing/shop environment
- Exposure to machinery, noise, and metal materials
