About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated Purchasing Agent/Buyer to support procurement operations and ensure materials, parts, and supplies flow smoothly through the organization. This position plays an important role in vendor communication, inventory planning, and coordination with engineering and quality teams.

What You’ll Do

• Manage purchasing activities for raw materials, parts, equipment, and supplies.
• Review inventory usage, reorder points, and safety stock through the ERP system and issue purchase orders as needed.
• Communicate with suppliers for quotes, lead times, manufacturing requirements, and negotiate pricing and delivery.
• Track open orders, follow up on delays, and expedite shipments when necessary.
• Identify and recommend alternate or secondary suppliers to strengthen supply chain reliability.
• Work with Engineering and Quality Assurance to review specifications, deviations, and suitable material alternatives.
• Review Engineering Change Orders and technical drawings associated with your material categories.
• Maintain up‐to‐date understanding of purchasing procedures for engineered products.
• Manage MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) supply purchasing.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1–3 years of supply chain or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with operating systems.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• ERP experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, follow‐up, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment and collaborate across teams.
• No supervisory responsibilities.
