JOB DESCRIPTION: A ssociate – Investment Operations POSITION SUMMARY The position interfaces with many internal teams, including trading and relationship management, along with external parties, like custodian banks. Its primary function is to support the investment and accounting operations at the firm. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Process and reconcile transactions on a daily basis to ensure accurate account positions. Establish new client accounts throughout internal systems. Implement changes for client terminations and transfers. Provide depth to the trade support function for responsibilities including, but not limited to, trade settlement and trade booking. Coordinate proxy voting setup, maintenance, and ballot reconciliation processes. Setup and maintain securities across internal systems along with communication of key updates to internal stakeholders. Review and produce internal and external reporting, like quarterly client statements. Candidate may assist with other responsibilities contingent on skill set. QUALIFICATIONS Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Ability to lead discussions and track issues. Enjoys collaborating with team members to solve problems. Desire to learn and master responsibilities. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required and familiarity with VBA and/or SQL a plus. Ability to work well under a variety of deadlines. EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field discipline. CFA Institute Investment Foundations certificate a plus – will be required within 12 months of employment.
