Operations And Shop Manager

Position Overview: -

· Position Status: Operations & Shop Manager

· Reporting Relationships: Owners – Pete & Amber Lofing

· Liaise with: Office staff and other team members and clients.

· Expected hours of work: 7:30am - 5pm.

· Compensation: $30 - $50 per hour DOE

Role: -

Assist in organizing, planning & scheduling all electrical jobs including material ordering & procurement, material organization, shop stock, shop organization and shop maintenance.

Key Objectives/Outcomes Expected:

Responsibilities: -

1. Arrive to work on time.

2. Be well presented in regard to clothing and personal grooming at all times and follow the company handbook.

3. Be polite, courteous and professional at all times. Refrain from bad language and excessive noise from such things as vehicles and radios.

4. Communicate clearly with colleagues and management on all relevant matters, particularly material management, procurement and scheduling.

5. Carry out all work as instructed by the owner in the expected time frame.

6. Ensure that equipment and tools belonging to Lofing Electric are kept maintained in good working order, including machinery.

7. Assist in keeping vehicles clean and tidy and well maintained on a weekly basis. Let Amber or the Office Manager know when your vehicle has a maintenance need.

8. If any tools or equipment are broken notify the owner and organize for prompt repair or replacement.

9. Communication is paramount, do not hesitate to report any concerns immediately.

10. Be willing to share expertise with other staff members, especially apprentices.

Key Performance Indicators: -

1. Manage shop and material to ensure optimal labor utilization.

2. Ensure all equipment, supplies and machinery is ready for upcoming jobs.

3. Communication will be paramount with technicians, clients, contractors and management.

4. Be punctual at all times and provide a high level of customer service.

5. Complete regular shop and yard inspections and ensure they are clean and tidy as well as vehicles kept stocked and clean.

Salary/Compensation: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
