About the Role:
We are a premier landscape design and construction firm looking for a seasoned Heavy Equipment Operator to join our busy team. This role is ideal for a professional with at least 5 years of experience who can operate machinery with precision on high-end residential and commercial landscape projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Operation: Expertly operate excavators, bobcats (skid steers), and loaders for site preparation, grading, and material handling.
• Site Work: Perform precise digging for foundations, drainage systems, and large-scale plantings.
• Material Transport: Load and unload materials (soil, stone, mulch) and transport equipment to various job sites safely.
• Maintenance: Conduct daily "walk-around" safety inspections, greasing, and fluid checks to ensure all machinery is in top working order.
• Team Collaboration: Coordinate with site foremen and ground crews to ensure projects are completed accurately and safely.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience operating heavy equipment in a landscaping or construction environment.
• Licensing: Valid Driver’s License required; CDL Class A or B strongly preferred.
• Skills: Strong understanding of grading, site work, and reading basic landscape plans.
• Physical: Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform manual labor (lifting up to 50+ lbs) as needed.
• Reliability: Must have a strong work ethic and reliable transportation to our shop in Mattapoisett.
