Skilled Marine Inboard Mechanic opportunity to join the dedicated team of professionals at Crosby Yacht Yard. In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of vessels, ensuring they are safe and ready for use. Familiarity with diesel and/or gasoline inboards and other related vessel systems are required for this position. We work on a wide variety of vessels both power and sail. This is a year round, full time position opportunity to join our friendly and competent team. We offer full services including dockage, storage, fuel, repairs, hauling, new and pre-owned boat sales and custom boat building. Vibrant and growing service department. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering exceptional service to our clients. Key responsibilities include:
· Perform routine maintenance (commissioning/decommissioning) and repairs on boat engines, systems, and components.
· Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
· Conduct inspections and provide reports on the condition of vessels.
· Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment.
· Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with operations manager.
· Stay up to date on the latest marine technologies and repair techniques.
Qualifications:
· Experience as a Marine Technician or similar role.
· Strong knowledge of boat systems and engines.
· Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
· Valid driver’s license and transportation.
·Certifications from marine industry manufacturers or organizations are a plus.
.Boaters safety certification and or experience operating vessels 10' - 40' not required but preferred.
