The Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit (CSIU) has a substitute assignment opening for Pre-K Counts Teacher working with children ages 3-5 years old. This is a 10-week assignment with anticipated start in January 2027 to March 2027 to cover the leave of absence of a full time employee. Assignment is approximately 50 working days. This position is located at Memorial Elementary School in Bloomsburg, PA. This is a center-based early childhood classroom, where the Pre-K Counts Teacher is responsible for managing all aspects of services planning, coordination, recordkeeping, problem solving, and communication to ensure delivery of a quality early childhood education program in compliance with all applicable regulations for enrolled children and families
Wage: $150.00 per diem following a 7.5 hours per day / 37.5 hours per week schedule. This equates to $20.00 per hour.
Education requirements include: A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Education is required. A valid Pennsylvania teacher certification in Early Childhood N-3 or Grades Pre-K-4 required. Because this is a long term substitute position, a candidate with a bachelor's degree and willingness to obtain a Type 04 Long-Term Substitute Teacher with No Educational Obligation emergency permit in the area of 2825-Grades PK-4 will be considered.
