McLeod Health, a nonprofit healthcare system located in Florence, South Carolina, is seeking a BC/BE Neurologist to join as a Neuro-Hospitalist at McLeod Regional Medical Center.

Diagnose and treat organic diseases and disorders of nervous system for hospital patients. Duties include ordering and studying results of chemical, microscopic, biological, and bacteriological analysis of patient's blood and cerebrospinal fluid to determine the nature and extent of disease or disorder; prescribing and administering medications and drugs; ordering and studying the results of electroencephalograms or x-rays to detect abnormalities in brain wave
patterns, or indications in brain structure. Advise patients to contact other medical specialists, as indicated. May also see stroke patients for follow-up at outpatient neurology clinic.

Requires medical degree or foreign equivalent. Completion of ACGME/AOA accredited residency in neurology. Able to obtain South Carolina medical license prior to commencement of employment.
