Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the manager, assist in the internal marketing, development and execution of Specialty Pharmacy's services. Assists in identifying and executing all processes and procedures necessary for approval of insurers for distribution of specialty medication. Dispenses medical prescriptions, maintains drug inventory and stock control systems under the direct supervision of pharmacists to ensure clinical and administrative effectiveness. Interfaces with physician practices to identify needs for specialty pharmaceuticals. Assists patients with the completion and submission of application forms. Verifies accuracy of data, ensures all documents are available and tracks progress of all submitted requests for assistance. Compiles data and maintains profiles on specialty pharmacy development (including lists of medications used by physician practices and individual patients and all new prescription and/or refill requests. Identify trends and developments/growth of business. Assists pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medical prescriptions upon receiving information from physician offices or patients according to written/faxed prescriptions. Maintains proper storage and security conditions for drugs, controls inventory stock level and timeline to ensure adequate supplies. Coordinates departmental quality assurance and other client-focused services, creates and maintains a safe working environment and conditions that adhere to state laws and regulations. Qualifications: Bachelors of Science Preferred Experience: 5 years’ experience in medical/service related field preferred or 7 years’ experience in medical/service related field with no degree Knowledge of medical terminology . Proficient use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
