Safety Coordinator

Location: Bell, California (Los Angeles Area)
Starting Pay: $19.00 per hour - $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–3:00 PM, with occasional weekends, extended hours, and on-call availability as needed.

Position Summary

Southland Employment Services is seeking a dependable, motivated, and bilingual Safety Coordinator to support our safety operations and workers’ compensation department.

No previous safety experience is required. We are looking for someone willing to learn, take initiative, and grow with our company. Training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel or commute to Southern California client job sites to assist with employee check-ins and onboarding.
• Some Nor Cal or San Francisco Bay Area travel will be required.
• Ensure employees receive and properly use required PPE.
• Conduct safety walkthroughs and report potential hazards.
• Assist with safety orientations and employee training.
• Support workplace incident reporting and investigations.
• Assist with workers’ compensation documentation, medical appointments, and employee follow-ups.
• Maintain accurate safety records and communicate with management.
• Support  virtually any needs for our National Safety Team outside of Califronia.

Requirements

• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal and DEPENDABLE transportation.
• Basic computer and communication skills.
• Dependable, organized, and willing to learn.
• Comfortable traveling between job sites.
• Flexible to work extended hours, occasional weekends, and be on call when needed.

Compensation

• Starting pay: $19.00 per hour to $20.00 per hour
• Mileage reimbursement for authorized business travel.
• Partial cellphone reimbursement for business-related use.
• Training provided.

Work Location: Based in Bell, CA, with travel to various client locations as needed.
