Mobile Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) – Multiple PA Locations

Full-Time | Mobile / Field-Based | Multiple Immediate Openings

Locations: Pittsburgh | York/Lancaster/Gettysburg | Philadelphia, PA
Pay: $30–$37/hour, based on territory


Are you an ARRT-certified Radiologic Technologist, X-Ray Technologist, Rad Tech, or Radiographer looking for more independence and variety in your work? We are hiring Mobile Radiologic Technologists (X-Ray) for multiple full-time opportunities throughout Pennsylvania.


These are 100% mobile, field-based positions where technologists travel to assigned healthcare locations to perform diagnostic imaging. A company vehicle, portable X-ray equipment, computer, phone, and necessary equipment are provided.


Experienced technologists and qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply. Previous mobile X-ray experience is not required.


Pittsburgh – $30–$32/hour
Full-time. Preferred schedule is four 10-hour shifts, approximately 10:00 AM–8:30 PM. A five 8-hour schedule, approximately 10:00 AM–6:30 PM, may also be accommodated. On-call rotation includes approximately one weeknight per week, every 5th–6th weekend, and 1–2 holidays per year. Pittsburgh may include select approved in-home examinations.


York / Lancaster / Gettysburg – $30–$32/hour
Full-time. Five 8-hour shifts, approximately 12:00 PM–8:30 PM. On-call rotation includes approximately 1–2 weeknights per week, every 3rd–4th weekend, and every 3rd–4th holiday. This territory does not include private in-home patient visits.


Philadelphia – $35–$37/hour
Full-time afternoon/evening opportunity, approximately 2:00 PM–10:30 PM. On-call rotation includes approximately one weeknight every other week, every 6th–7th weekend, and every 6th–7th holiday. The Philadelphia territory does not include private in-home patient visits.


What You'll Do

  • Perform physician-ordered portable/mobile radiographic examinations.
  • Travel between assigned healthcare locations using a company-provided vehicle.
  • Perform diagnostic imaging in hospitals, nursing facilities, and other assigned healthcare environments.
  • Position patients safely and appropriately for diagnostic examinations.
  • Adjust imaging techniques and technical factors according to patient condition and examination requirements.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images using portable radiographic equipment.
  • Verify examination orders and accurately document patient and study information.
  • Follow established imaging protocols, ALARA principles, and radiation-safety requirements.
  • Coordinate with healthcare facility staff, physicians, patients, and internal team members.
  • Organize daily assignments and work independently in a mobile environment.
  • Maintain assigned imaging equipment and company vehicle.
  • Perform EKG, Holter monitoring, pacemaker checks, and related diagnostic procedures when trained and assigned.
  • Provide compassionate, professional patient care across a variety of healthcare environments.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of a formal Radiologic Technology program accredited by JRCERT.
  • Active ARRT certification in the appropriate specialty.
  • Applicable state licensure/requirements as required by law.
  • Current continuing education requirements appropriate to the specialty.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a company-provided vehicle.
  • Strong patient-care and communication skills.
  • Strong organization and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage assignments in a mobile environment.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

No previous professional experience is required when the education and training requirements are met. Qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply.


Training & Ride-Along

New to mobile imaging? No problem. Previous mobile X-ray experience is not required.

Qualified candidates may have the opportunity to participate in a ride-along following the interview, providing a firsthand look at the day-to-day responsibilities, mobile work environment, and territory.


New employees receive hands-on training and ongoing support to become comfortable with the mobile workflow, equipment, territory, and position expectations.
