Automatic Door Technician

Door Equipment is immediately hiring Technicians to join our team! We are immediately hiring for our Door Technician Apprenticeship program in Louisville. We will train! Seasoned vets are welcomed to apply! You will install and repair commercial automatic swinging, hollow metal and sliding doors. Responsibilities:

• Apprentice & Learn: Work alongside experienced technicians to master the installation and repair of commercial automatic entrance systems.
• Field Service Travel to various commercial client sites throughout the local region to perform on-site installations, service checks, and repairs.
• Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine service checks to ensure equipment operates safely and smoothly.
• Troubleshoot: Diagnose mechanical issues and utilize industrial tools to implement reliable solutions.
• Maintain Standards: Keep an organized workspace, take precise measurements (must be able to read a tape measure accurately), and adhere strictly to all safety policies.
• Light Travel: Must be able to travel ( transportation, lodging and $50 per diem/day)

Qualifications:

• Mechanical Aptitude: A natural ability to work with your hands, troubleshoot problems, and use industrial tools.
• Physical Capability: The ability to handle the physical workload associated with construction and mechanical installation.
• Flexibility: Willingness to accommodate light travel, overtime, and occasional scheduled nights and weekends when client projects demand it.
• Professional Requirements: A clean driving record (essential for field travel), a clean criminal background, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Overtime: Must be able to work occasional night and overtime is a must
