The Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection & Insurance Co. seeks Client Data Steward (Hartford, CT) to collaborate with client teams to define & document data reqmts for new & existing Treaty data feeds; utilize SQL Server to design, validate & optimize client-specific data schemas & ETL workflows. Req Bach in Info Tech, CompSci, Engg or rltd + 5 yrs exp as Sr. Data Engr, Proj Mgr/Lead, Sr. BI Developer, Sr. Data Governance Analyst, Application Support Specialist or closely rltd posn. Prior exp. must incl.: End-to-end data governance in cloud & hybrid environments incl. designing governance frameworks in Azure environments using SQL Server, Power BI, Python & Azure DevOps; Advanced ETL & data integration using SSIS, T-SQL, Python, PowerShell; Database design, modeling & warehouse mgmt in SQL Server & hybrid cloud environments; Full-Stack Power BI development with DAX & custom connectors; Complex data integration w/ client PAS Systems; Using Azure DevOps for version control, backlog mgmt., CI/CD workflows & release planning across insurance data projects specifically focusing on Specialty Reinsurance; Legacy system data extraction & integration from mainframe sources (COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM); Cross-Platform Automation Using Python, PowerShell & Azure Services; Developing visual dashboards & reports from structured warehouse data using Power BI (Power BI as a visualization tool, not as an analytical modeling platform); Using scheduling & workflow automation tools (e.g., Control-M, Azure DevOps) for ETL & database processes; Understanding of SDLC & database lifecycle management, incl. analysis, development, testing, deployment, & troubleshooting. May telecommute but must report to Hartford, CT office 3x/wk. The base salary range anticipated for this position is $156,458 to $156,458/yr + opportunity for company bonus based upon percentage of eligible pay + variety of benefits, incl. health insurance coverage, employee wellness program, life & disability insurance, 401k, retirement savings plan, paid holidays & PTO.
