Professional contract cleaning company has an opening in the Peoria area. Monday through Friday evening shift 5:00 to 8:30. Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation, be able to work unsupervised and have experience in commercial cleaning. Must pass a pre-employment background check. EOE

Job Description: Commercial Cleaner

Position Overview:
As a Commercial Cleaner, your primary responsibility is to ensure that commercial buildings, offices, or other commercial spaces are clean, well-maintained, and presentable. You will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain a sanitary and safe environment for employees, visitors, and clients. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow cleaning protocols, and the physical stamina to perform tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

General Cleaning Tasks:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners.
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.
• Maintain cleanliness in common areas, including lobbies, hallways, and break rooms.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, such as doorknobs, light switches, and handrails.
• Restock supplies, including paper products, soap, and hand sanitizers.

Safety and Security:

• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report any safety hazards or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow security procedures, including locking doors and securing the premises as required.

Communication and Teamwork:

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding cleaning tasks, supplies, and any issues or concerns.
• Collaborate with other cleaning staff to ensure efficient cleaning operations.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond promptly to any client requests or inquiries.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and materials.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures related to cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, bend, lift heavy objects, and stand for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
