Senior Designer, IBM Corporation, Austin, TX (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted): Manage project engagements including deliverables (such as concepts, wireframes, interactive prototypes, specifications) engagement agreements and timelines. Design user experiences alongside key product stakeholders to understand and support product business goals, advocating user centered design using human factors, and manage design resources. Translate business requirements to end-user needs and create differentiated design solutions. Mentor junior designers and User Experience professionals, lead team in design thinking and agile methodologies. Direct the user experience design direction and implementation for a major product line. Leverage a solid understanding of UX design principles to create compelling user experiences. Address complex web design problems and provide design solutions that meet user needs. Create wireframes and interactive prototypes for large/complex mobile and web applications using human factors principles. Create graphics and layouts for enterprise web applications. Lead usability research and test efforts including task analysis, user testing, surveys and persona development with target users.
