RoCon is seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial Services Carpenter to join our team.
This role is responsible for completing construction, repair, maintenance, demolition, installation,
and small-project work safely, efficiently, and professionally.
The Commercial Services Carpenter works closely with the Foreman to deliver quality
workmanship within the established scope and schedule. This position is ideal for someone who
takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, communicates well, and can confidently work
independently within their skill level.
What You'll Do
● Review assigned work and understand the scope before beginning.
● Perform carpentry, demolition, repair, installation, and finish work as assigned.
● Follow the Foreman’s direction and established work methods.
● Take ownership of the quality and craftsmanship of your individual work.
● Use tools, materials, and equipment safely and efficiently.
● Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite.
● Protect existing finishes, furnishings, facilities, and customer property.
● Communicate field conditions, material needs, and potential problems to the Foreman.
● Track time and materials accurately as required.
● Coordinate with trade partners to support efficient completion of the work.
● Support the crew in completing projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
● Take initiative and solve routine problems while keeping the Foreman informed.

A successful Commercial Services Carpenter is dependable, safety-minded, detail-oriented, and
takes pride in delivering quality work. You should be comfortable working as part of a crew while
also being able to complete assigned tasks independently.
You are expected to use good judgment within your skill level and communicate proactively
when conditions, materials, or other issues could affect the work.
Role Boundaries
The Commercial Services Carpenter works under the direction of the Foreman and is not
responsible for:
● Directing other crew members unless specifically assigned.
● Changing the approved scope of work.
● Committing RoCon to additional work.
● Making commitments to customers.
● Establishing pricing or project schedules.
● Performing project management duties.
What We're Looking For
● Experience in commercial carpentry, construction, remodeling, maintenance, or a related
trade.
● Ability to perform quality work with attention to detail.
● Ability to safely operate common hand and power tools.
● Ability to read and understand assigned work instructions and plans.
● Strong communication and teamwork skills.
● Dependability and a professional attitude.
● Ability to work independently while following direction from the Foreman.
● Willingness to learn, take initiative, and continuously improve.
