About the Opportunity A well-established regional commercial and industrial construction firm is seeking a highly accomplished General Manager to oversee day to day operational functions, define and implement operational strategy, business development, and P&L management. This position reports directly to the Board of Directors/Ownership and offers full operational autonomy to drive sustainable growth.

 

Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000

Annual Bonus Target-> 20%

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Financial Management – Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and ensure sound financial health of organization. This includes managing costs and maximizing profits real time 


Strategic Planning – Development and implement long term-strategies to achieve business goals and objectives while monitoring market trends 


Business Oversight – manage the day-to-day execution of the business from quote to cash (estimating, design, coordination, operations, finance) 


Performance Analysis – Monitor organizational performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data driven decisions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness 


Team Leadership – Build and lead high performing teams, fostering a positive work culture and providing guidance to staff. This includes hiring, training, and evaluating key business leaders 


Compliance and Risk Management – Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations while assessing risks to protect the organization’s assets and reputation 


Reporting business results, KPI’s, and financial results to ownership on monthly and quarterly review basis 


Customer and Supplier Relationships – Manage and develop key business partnerships 

 


Candidate Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in commercial or industrial construction.
  • Track Record: Proven success managing $20M+ annual revenue portfolios with demonstrated P&L accountability.
  • Skills: Deep knowledge of contract negotiation, dispute resolution, construction software (e.g., Procore, Primavera), and labor management.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Business Administration preferred.
