The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of Assistant/Associate Surveyor in the Community Development and Services Department. Under general direction, assists the County Surveyor in performing field surveying, drafting and mapping services; coordinates activities between surveying and engineering divisions of the Public Works Department; and performs related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Assistant Surveyor:
MINIMUM: 30 semester or 45 quarter units from an accredited college with coursework in land surveying or mathematics through trigonometry or basic science and two (2) years of progressively responsible land surveying or land development experience; OR four (4) years of progressively responsible land surveying or land development experience; OR Bachelors degree from accredited college with major coursework in land surveying, civil engineering, or related field.
PREFERRED: In addition to the minimum, additional upper division coursework, from an accredited college with major coursework in land surveying, civil engineering or related field and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in property surveying and/or land development.
Associate Surveyor:
MINIMUM: 60 semester or 90 quarter units from an accredited college with major coursework in land surveying, civil engineering or related field and four (4) years of progressively responsible land surveying or land development experience; OR six (6) years of progressively responsible land surveying or land development experience; OR Bachelors degree from an accredited college with major coursework in land surveying or civil engineering or related field and two (2) years of progressively responsible land surveying or land development experience.
PREFERRED: In addition to the minimum, Bachelors degree from an accredited college with major coursework in land surveying, civil engineering or related field and three (3) years progressively responsible land surveying experience in a public agency.
Salary/Compensation: $6,678 - $8,116 per month
