Custodian: $16.15-$18.92
Floor Technician: $17.53-$20.81
Shift differential is available for swing and night shifts.
**Successful candidates will be hired as either a Custodian or a Floor Technician based on experience**
CUSTODIAN Required Knowledge, Experience, And Training
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of:
- maintaining cleaning equipment and products;
- general cleaning procedures; airport security protocol;
- mixing rules and regulations of cleaning chemicals and solutions;
- safety and cleaning products and equipment.
Ability to:
- work on ladders and scaffolds up to 20 feet high;
- remove and lift large amounts of trash and other waste;
- operate power tools and equipment such as floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, side-by-side buffers and lifts;
- identify safety and security hazards;
- communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance; and
- perform all essential functions as assigned by an authorized employee, supervisor and/or manager with or without reasonable accommodation.
FLOOR TECHNICIAN Required Knowledge, Experience, And Training
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4 years of experience working in the custodial field
Knowledge of:
- the operation of various floor cleaning equipment; general cleaning procedures; airport security protocol; mixing rules and regulations of cleaning chemicals and solutions.
Ability to:
- troubleshoot and address equipment issues;
- operate power tools and equipment, such as floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, side-by-side buffers and lifts;
- identify safety and security hazards;
- communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance; and
- perform all essential functions as assigned by an authorized employee, supervisor and/or manager with or without reasonable accommodation.
Licensing And Other Requirements (both positions)
- Complete Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Certifications for 100 & 700 Courses within six months of being hired.
Special Requirements (both positions) - Applicants must be able to pass:
- City of Boise background check processes which includes a criminal history check and reference checks in accordance with the City of Boise Hiring Process Regulation
- Transportation Security Administration background check (SIDA)
