 We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join our growing team. In this role, you'll operate manual machine tools to manufacture and repair precision components while maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, drills, and other machine tools to manufacture precision parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
  • Measure finished components using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Calculate dimensions, tolerances, and machining specifications.
  • Modify or repair existing components as needed.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating manual machining equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of machining practices and measuring instruments.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong math and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with both manual mills and engine lathes.
  • Toolroom or repair machining experience.
  • Experience working with a variety of metals.
  • Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
