Transit Coordinator

The Lower Savannah Council of Governments, a regional planning and development agency located in Aiken, SC, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Transit Coordinator.  

Primary responsibilities include assisting the Transit Operations Manager in the coordination of programs, and projects of the Transit Department, to include route evaluation, planning, rider assessments, financial monitoring, service quality evaluation and maintenance of effective contract relations with the entities operating the system. Candidate must be detail oriented, have excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Excel and Access.  Travel within the region and state required. Must pass a background check.  Bachelor’s degree in public administration, Business Administration, Planning or Social Work and two (2) years of transit or human services industry experience preferred.
