Gamma Technologies, LLC seeks Sr Engineers, Research & Development for Westmont, IL to work, w/in a mature platform & mathematical solution architecture, on projects focused on performance, scalability, user-experience, & 3D visualization aspects of MBD models. Ph.D. in Mechanical Eng/Civil Eng/related field +2yrs exp reqd. Reqd skills: finite element analysis & computational methods for solid mechanics & dynamics; Programming exp w/a focus on scientific computing (Fortran, C, or C++); MATLAB or other computational mathematics prototyping tools; numerical analysis, incl numerical integration/differentiation, linear algebra, eigenvalue analysis, nonlinear equations, optimization algorithms; Theory & implementation of numerical methods for solving systems governed by ODEs & DAEs w/emphasis in the finite element method; Tech. for enhancement of model performance & scalability, such as model reduction, sparse systems, & parallelization; commercial/research finite element tools. Less than 5% travel to attend industry conferences & co. sponsored trade shows reqd. Some telecommuting permitted.
