Hiring Special Education Teacher - Hilltop Middle School, Ilwaco WA

We are recruiting for a Special Education Teacher to serve Hilltop Middle School in the Ocean Beach School District for the 2026-2027 school year. Approximate start date is August 10, 2026. 

General Responsibilities

Reporting directly to a Special Education Administrator the Special Education Teacher provides services to special education students with a range of moderate to severe disabilities ages three to 21 years of age. The Special Education Teacher leads the IEP team to develop data driven student learning and behavioral goals. The Special Education Teacher is responsible for developing curriculum and program strategies consistent with the student's learning level and to continually assess student progress towards IEP goals. Teaching environments include resource rooms and self-contained classrooms at the elementary, middle, and high school level.

Regular attendance required: This role relies on regular and reliable attendance to ensure consistency for our students and help support a positive, productive learning environment.

Salary:
The full salary range for this position is $58,753.00 - $106,985.00. Salary placement is based on education and certificated experience. 

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Hold or be eligible to hold a valid Washington teaching certificate with K-12 special education endorsement.
2. Experience in writing individualized curriculum.
3. Experience in developing, executing and adjusting behavior management programs.
