Manager-Range Operations

Position Summary

We are looking for a disciplined, accountable, and operationally sharp individual to serve as our Manager of Operations. This role is hands-on and fast-paced — you will be responsible for the day-to-day functioning of the facility, leading our team, and helping drive the business forward. Prior military service is highly valued. If you need things spelled out every step of the way, this isn't the role for you.

Would report to General Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily range and facility operations, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
• Lead, schedule, and develop a team of range staff and instructors
• Monitor P&L performance and report on financial trends to ownership
• Coordinate training programs and instructor scheduling
• Enforce all federal, state, and company firearms safety policies
• Manage customer escalations and maintain a professional, service-oriented environment
• Conduct regular safety inspections and incident reporting
• Follow up on open tasks and ensure nothing falls through the cracks
• Assist with onboarding, staff evaluations, and performance management
• Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations
• Deliver CPR/First Aid and firearms safety instruction once certified

Required Qualifications

• Must be legally permitted to purchase and carry a firearm under federal and state law (18 U.S.C. § 922)
• Act 235 (Lethal Weapons Training Act) certification — must either already hold it or obtain it at your own expense within 90 days of hire
• Must become an NRA Firearms Instructor within 90 days ( Company Provided).
• Demonstrated prior leadership experience (team lead, supervisor, manager, or military equivalent)
• Working knowledge of profit & loss statements and core business fundamentals
• Strong safety mindset with the ability to enforce protocols consistently
• Proven problem-solving ability and sound judgment under pressure
• Exceptional task follow-through and accountability — you get things done without being chased

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior U.S. military service (any branch)
• Experience in a range, law enforcement, or security environment
• Existing NRA instructor credentials
• Familiarity with Pennsylvania firearms law and regulations
• Customer Service Skills
