Liftology is a family-owned franchise in Charlotte, and we are seeking a service and installation technician to join our team. We provide accessibility and mobility equipment for seniors and individuals living with disabilities, helping them live safely and independently in their homes. Responsibilities & Duties

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot elevators, vertical platform lifts, stairlifts, overhead patient lifts, auto lifts, ramps, and other accessibility equipment in both residential and commercial settings.

• Work with brands including Bruno, Harmar, National Ramp, Human Care, Savaria, Pollock, PVE, and other residential elevator manufacturers.

• We are specifically seeking candidates with experience working on home elevators (ASME 17.1 and 17.7) and light commercial mobility/accessibility lifts (ASME 18.1).

• Assist with project evaluations at clients’ homes and commercial sites.

• Communicate with clients and manufacturers throughout the installation and service process.

• Work throughout the Greater Charlotte area (company vehicle and tools provided).

• Occasional regional overnight travel may be required.

 

Requirements

• State elevator mechanic’s license with relevant industry experience, demonstrated ability, and technical knowledge.

• OR at least 3 years of verifiable industry experience installing the equipment listed above, with the ability and eligibility to obtain a state elevator mechanic’s license. This may require sitting for an elevator licensing exam.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of electronics, electrical wiring, and electrical theory.

• Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, factory shop drawings, and construction blueprints.

• Ability to read installation manuals and technical materials.

• Experience using a wide variety of tools.

• Manual dexterity to manipulate small objects and components.

• Ability to safely lift up to 100 lbs and comfortably enter and exit a delivery truck.

• Clean driving record, reliable transportation, and valid driver’s license required.

 

Hours

• Approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with flexibility, Monday through Friday. Hours may vary depending on project schedules.

 

Salary & Benefits

• Approximately $32–$50/hour plus performance-based bonus, depending on experience.
