Packaging Project Coordinator (Entry-Level)

Location: Hershey, PA
Work Model: Hybrid — Monday and Friday remote; Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday onsite
Pay: $20.00/hour starting rate, with review and possible increase after 6 months


Abel Personnel is recruiting an Entry-Level Packaging Project Coordinator for a confidential packaging services partner supporting a major food manufacturing operation in Hershey, PA. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, tech savvy, and interested in building a long-term career in a structured, process-driven environment.


This is not a graphic design, creative design, or marketing role. The ideal candidate will be a strong coordinator and communicator who can track work from start to finish, manage details, keep projects moving, and serve as a professional liaison between internal teams and the client site.


Ideal Candidate Profile

Candidates within 30 to 45 minutes of Hershey, PA will receive first consideration. The maximum preferred commute is approximately 1 hour.


Responsibilities

The Packaging Project Coordinator will support packaging-related projects and orders from beginning to completion. Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating packaging projects, orders, schedules, documentation, and deadlines
  • Serving as a point of contact between internal teams and the client site
  • Communicating with production, sales, client representatives, and internal departments
  • Tracking project status, milestones, priorities, and timelines
  • Helping identify issues that could impact deadlines, accuracy, or customer expectations
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and clear communication throughout each project
  • Supporting process improvements that improve efficiency and the customer experience
  • Managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and follow-through


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must currently reside in Pennsylvania
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management
  • Ability to learn and work across multiple proprietary software systems
  • Related experience in project coordination, administrative support, order coordination, customer service, operations support, production support, internship experience, technical training, or another detail-heavy role


Preferred Qualifications

  • Some college coursework, associate degree, technical training, or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience coordinating projects, orders, schedules, documentation, customers, vendors, or internal teams
  • Experience in packaging, printing, manufacturing, production, consumer products, food manufacturing support, or a deadline-driven operational environment
  • Stable work history showing reliability, follow-through, and long-term commitment
