Job Description

Body Shop Foreman – Heavy Truck Collision Repair
Exeter, NH
$35–$38/hr (based on experience)
Mon–Fri | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Lead a Real Shop. Not Just Watch One.

We’re looking for a hands-on Body Shop Foreman who knows heavy truck collision work inside and out—and can keep a busy shop running without things falling through the cracks.

This is a working leadership role. You’ll be on the floor daily, guiding repairs, helping techs solve problems, and making sure every truck leaves right the first time.

If you’ve been the go-to lead tech or shop “fixer” and you’re ready to step fully into a foreman role, this is built for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Run day-to-day workflow in a commercial truck body shop
  • Oversee collision repair, structural work, frame straightening, and refinishing
  • Jump in on complex repairs and help diagnose damage correctly the first time
  • Ensure all work meets OEM specs and DOT safety standards
  • Work with estimators to identify hidden damage and avoid delays/supplements
  • Train and mentor techs and apprentices (build skill, speed, and consistency)
  • Keep shop equipment running properly (frame machines, welders, paint booths)
  • Track job progress, labor hours, and shop productivity
  • Maintain a safety-first environment (OSHA/EPA compliance, PPE, cleanliness)

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years in auto body / heavy-duty truck collision repair
  • Prior lead tech, senior tech, or foreman experience preferred
  • Strong skills in tear-down, reassembly, structural repair, and frame work
  • Comfortable reading damage and solving problems without hand-holding
  • Knowledge of paint/refinish processes and body repair techniques
  • Able to read manuals, diagrams, and OEM repair specs
  • Strong communication—can lead techs and work with estimators
  • Reliable, steady, and accountable
  • Valid driver’s license + reliable transportation
  • Able to handle physical shop work (lifting, moving heavy parts/equipment)

Nice to Have

  • Technical school or trade certification
  • OEM or manufacturer training
  • Experience running a body shop or leading a production team

What’s in It for You

  • Medical, Dental, Vision insurance
  • Life & Disability coverage
  • AFLAC options
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off + holidays

Why This Role

This isn’t a “watch over the shop from an office” job. It’s for someone who knows trucks, knows collision work, and can keep a team moving without sacrificing quality.

If you can lead from the floor and take pride in getting heavy-duty equipment back on the road the right way, this is worth a look.
