Job Summary: Product support team member who works with production, engineering R&D, product support and sales who is responsible for research, development and organization of technical documentation related to our products
Essential Job Duties:
· Collect, edit, and review raw technical information supplied by stakeholders for the purpose of document creation
- Development of standardized document templates for various subject matter and purpose.
· Creation and editing of drafted documents. Reviewing drafted document with stakeholders for final approval
- Organization, maintenance, and storage of finalized documents in the appropriate database and Collabtic.
- Managing document visibility and access to the appropriate groups and/or users in the Collabtic system.
- Monitor industry and internal trends for issues related to our products that may warranty documentation.
· Assume other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in service or engineering support roles.
- Thorough understanding of automotive systems (suspension, brakes, electrical, powertrain, etc.) and general service repair procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with management, engineering, internal and external stakeholders while building and maintaining positive relationships
- Proficient in Microsoft suite of products
Preferred Qualifications:
· Ability to analyze and understand root cause, scope and consequence of vehicle issues
· Diagnostic skills in technical subjects required for field support.
· Experience in assisting Engineering, Quality, Service Operations, or Manufacturing.
· Experience using or managing Collabtic.
· Certification by National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) in some or all areas of automotive repair.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (Includes needed certifications, systems knowledge, job skills, characteristics, competencies, etc.):
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
- Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and Powerpoint presentations to support business objectives.
- Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written.
- Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
- Decisions generally affect own job or assigned functional area.
- Results are defined; sets personal own goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.
- Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity.
Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Work is primarily sedentary: must be able to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse, frequently.
· Must have the ability to work under conditions of frequent interruptions and be attentive to details.
· Working with a computer terminal and other electronic devices.
