Colonial Christian School, a FACCS fully accredited school, is seeking to hire an enthusiastic English teacher to join our dedicated team
|
|
Responsibilities
|
- Effectively deliver curriculum to meet developmental goals
- Successfully instruct students in literature, vocabulary, writing, & grammar
- Prepare lesson plans, grade papers, manage the classroom, & evaluate & give feedback to students
- Exercise open, respectful, & clear communication with students, families, co-workers, administrators, & other school staff
- Set measurable goals for students & gauge their progress
- Maintain current student records including grades & attendance
- Use technology effectively to reinforce classroom concepts & communicate with parents & students
- Provide a safe, respectful learning environment where students can thrive
- Establish and implement classroom rules
- Adapt teaching methods & activities to meet the learning styles of students
- Prepare students for academic promotions

Qualifications
|
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
- Highly developed oral & written communication skills
- Ability to build relationships effectively & professionally with families & students
- Physical ability to handle frequent sitting, standing, & moving throughout the classroom
- Active member of their church
