Why This Role Rocks
Join our team as a Cash Accountant II and play a key role in keeping our cash operations running smoothly. In this role, you’ll own complex reconciliations, dig into data to solve discrepancies, and partner with Treasury to support critical financial decisions. *This is an on-site position that works a hybrid schedule at the Texas Roadhouse Support Center located in Louisville, Kentucky.
What’s On Your Plate
Own monthly reconciliations for bank, merchant, and corporate accounts-researching and resolving discrepancies with confidence
Prepare and review journal entries related to cash activity, fees, and clearing accounts
Analyze variances, chargebacks, and exceptions, escalating issues when needed
Monitor daily cash flow and merchant transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness
Support month-end and year-end close with schedules, flux analysis, and audit-ready documentation
Perform credit card fee and chargeback analysis to inform Treasury and Finance decisions
Assist with transaction processing, system maintenance, and merchant account setup (MIDs/BIDs)
Compile and analyze data for recurring and ad hoc reporting
Partner with vendors and serve as a go-to resource for treasury-related questions
Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and special projects
Support audit requests with clear documentation and reporting
Mentor junior team members and share best practices
Your Recipe for Success
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
2-4 years of accounting experience; corporate or banking environment preferred
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
Experience with ERP or reconciliation tools (e.g., ReconNet, Microsoft Dynamics/AZ) a plus
Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive problem solver
Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently
