Are you an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Executive Assistant, or Office Professional looking for a flexible part-time opportunity?
A respected professional organization in downtown Harrisburg is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to provide administrative and legal support to professional staff. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with legal office, law firm, litigation support, document management, or executive administrative experience.
This temporary assignment is expected to continue through September and may be extended or become permanent based on organizational needs.
Schedule
• Monday-Friday, approximately 20 hours per week
• Preferred schedule: 4 hours per day
• Afternoon hours preferred
• Flexible scheduling may be available for qualified candidates
• Parking provided
Key Responsibilities
• Provide administrative support to legal and professional staff
• Draft, edit, proofread, and format correspondence, legal documents, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations
• Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems
• Track deadlines, hearings, case files, and legal documentation
• Coordinate calendars, meetings, appointments, and project schedules
• Prepare, organize, and distribute legal and administrative materials
• Communicate professionally with attorneys, staff, agencies, and external contacts
• Assist with document management, records retention, and legal file organization
• Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive legal and personnel information
• Support general office operations and administrative projects
Qualifications
• 2+ years of administrative assistant, legal assistant, executive assistant, legal secretary, office coordinator, or related experience
• Previous legal office, law firm, litigation support, arbitration, labor relations, or legal administrative experience strongly preferred
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Excellent organizational, communication, and proofreading skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently
• Experience handling confidential information and legal documentation
• Notary Public certification is a plus but not required
