With a population of approximately 300 students, Menands Union Free School District is a unique Pre-K–8th grade school. We are a very supportive school community and work collaboratively to meet the diverse needs of our students in a nurturing environment.
Menands School is accepting applications for a full-time Physical Therapist who is passionate about supporting students’ access to the educational environment and overall physical development. This full-time position will be split between Menands UFSD (.8 FTE) and another neighboring school (.2 FTE).
The Physical Therapist will play a critical role in the evaluation, identification, and support of students with physical and motor needs. This individual will collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide data-driven recommendations, support student mobility and access, and help students participate fully in their educational program across a continuum of needs.
Key Responsibilities
Interested candidates must possess a valid New York State license in Physical Therapy. Preference will be
given to candidates with experience in school-based practice, knowledge of special education processes,
and experience working with students with autism and other developmental disabilities.
