Veteran Outreach Specialist (Part-Time / Remote – Virginia Only)
Equal Justice America is seeking a veteran to help us connect with fellow veterans and raise support for our Veterans Project, which helps provide free legal assistance to veterans in need.
Through this program, EJA funds attorneys and law students at legal aid organizations assisting veterans facing serious legal challenges — including denied VA benefits, housing instability, financial hardship, and other civil legal issues.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a U.S. military veteran
- Is based in Virginia
- Is comfortable speaking with fellow veterans by phone
- Communicates clearly and respectfully
- Is comfortable asking for financial support for a meaningful cause
- Is personable, reliable, and self-motivated
Role Responsibilities:
- Call veteran-owned businesses and individuals to share information about EJA’s Veterans Project
- Have thoughtful, respectful conversations about the challenges many veterans face
- Ask for financial support to help expand legal assistance for veterans
- Follow up with interested individuals by email
