We're Hiring: District Supervisor of Social Studies

Are you passionate about shaping the future of education and influencing the academic journey of K–12 students? We are seeking a dedicated District Supervisor of Social Studies to join our team.

Position Details

• Location: Latham, NY
• Duration: 10-month position (September 1 – June 30, plus 7 summer days)
• Salary Range: $95,000–$105,000 (based on education and experience)
• Benefits: Comprehensive package including health, dental, vision, LTD, life insurance, NYS retirement, generous time off
• Member of the Administrators Association of North Colonie (AANC)

• Position Available: August 1, 2026

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of classroom teaching experience
• Master's degree in Social Studies, a Social Science Discipline, Literacy, Curriculum & Instruction, or Educational Leadership
• Active School District Leader (SDL) certification
• Experience in curriculum development, instructional leadership, and teacher supervision
• Strong knowledge of state standards, assessment practices, and intervention strategies
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience implementing Social Studies curricula aligned with the New York State K–12 Social Studies Framework and the Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education Framework
• Background in analyzing assessment data to drive instructional decisions
