General Manager

Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven General Manager to lead daily operations, drive growth, and ensure top-tier service delivery. This role requires a balance of leadership, logistics management, customer service, and business development. The ideal candidate is comfortable working both in the field and in the office, leading teams and improving operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations, including routing, delivery, servicing, and pickup of portable sanitation units
- Optimize route efficiency, scheduling, and fleet utilization
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
Team Leadership
- Hire, train, and manage drivers, yard staff, and office personnel
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and customer service excellence
- Conduct performance reviews and implement improvement plans as needed
Customer & Business Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, event planners, and municipalities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow revenue
- Handle escalated customer issues and ensure satisfaction
Financial Oversight
- Manage budgets, P&L, and operational costs
- Monitor key performance metrics and implement improvements
- Oversee billing, collections, and vendor relationships
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce company safety policies and procedures
- Ensure DOT compliance and proper equipment maintenance
- Maintain environmental and waste disposal compliance standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of management or operations leadership experience
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Experience with route-based operations or fleet management preferred
- Solid understanding of budgeting and financial performance metrics
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus, but not required, must be willing to obtain)
Preferred Experience
- Portable sanitation, waste management, construction services, or similar industry
- Experience scaling operations or managing a growing business
- Knowledge of Missoula and the surrounding regional market
