Flint Hills Technical College is seeking an Allied Health Director. The Allied Health Director serves as the instructor for Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) courses and Course Supervisor for the Allied Health programs in accordance with requirements established by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS). This is an on-site position.
Qualifications:
- Hold a current Kansas Registered Nurse license or a current RN unencumbered license
- Minimum of two years full-time licensed nursing experience (LPN or RN), including one of the following:
- At least 1,750 hours of that experience must be as a licensed nurse in a setting that demonstrates long-term nursing care, such as:
- an adult care home
- a long-term care unit of a hospital
- a state institution for individuals with mental and physical disabilities
- Meet at least ONE of the following requirements:
- Experience supervising nurse aides
- Experience teaching adults
- Complete a course in teaching adults
- Complete a professional continuing education offering on supervision or adult education
Essential Functions:
- Facilitate the student learning and intellectual development, including providing instruction for Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) courses each semester (typically includes instruction of three courses), in accordance with the College’s scheduling needs and KDADS requirements.
- Recruit qualified Adjunct instructors for Allied Health courses in accordance with College policies and procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws, regulations, and accrediting standards. Ensure compliance with College and the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services policies and procedures.
- Prepare and submit all required reports to Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services in a timely and compliant manner.
Compensation:
- 10-month position (August through May), FLSA Exempt staff position
- Salary range: $65,000-$75,000
- Potential to earn adjunct pay during June and July while teaching additional courses
- Annual salary is distributed over 12 months
