Building Attendant (Night Shift)

Job Description

Wor-Wic Community College is accepting applications for a full-time, night building attendant to perform custodial duties at the college campus. Duties include dusting furniture; vacuuming and shampooing carpeted floors; disinfecting restroom fixtures; removing trash; cleaning windows, elevators, floor mats and marker boards; dry and wet mopping tile floors; moving classroom furniture; and operating and maintaining cleaning equipment such as buffers and polishers.

Hours of work are Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Requirements include a high school diploma or the equivalent; six months of cleaning experience; the ability to operate floor care machinery and small equipment, such as power tools; and the ability to lift objects weighing 50 lbs. A valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record is preferred. This position is considered an “essential employee” and as such, may be required to report during non-scheduled days, evenings, weekends and/or holidays to assist with snow removal and other work situations.

This is a full-time position with excellent fringe benefits. The starting hourly rate for this position will likely range from $17.08 to $21.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
