Five Star Home Inspections is a locally owned small family business serving the Kansas City Metropolitan and surrounding areas. We provide home inspections and home inspection services for those in the process of buying or selling their homes. We provide one of the most thorough inspections in the industry and pride ourselves with the best customer service in the industry, before, during, and after the inspection. We are looking for someone who can provide our company with very diverse assets and is willing to understand the culture of our business and help develop and grow the business for years to come.

Successful candidates will possess good people skills, excellent communication skills, are self-managed and motivated with an acute attention to detail, have good computer and typing skills, and are familiar with residential construction.


Our inspectors are responsible for performing home inspections in accordance with American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) Standards of Practice, Wood Destroying Insect inspections, and Radon testing per the State of Kansas Licensing requirements.


This position requires a high school diploma or above and the ability to pass the National Home Inspector exam as well as complete an 80 hour home inspection training program. If you have already passed or are working on your 80 hours of primary education it is a plus. If not we will get you started. We will assist our inspectors in achieving additional training and certification in radon measurement and any other inspection items deemed necessary.


You should be in good general health, have the ability to move up and down ladders, climb roofs, enter attics and crawl spaces and able to carry 50 pounds. You will work in all weather conditions as well as in unconditioned buildings.
