RCS is seeking a certified art teacher beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.  Minimum salary of $51,494 but is commensurate with experience.  Benefits as per the RTA contract.

An Art Teacher is responsible for fostering creativity and artistic expression in students through engaging and developmentally appropriate instruction. This role involves planning and delivering lessons in various art forms such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media, while aligning with curriculum standards. The Art Teacher encourages students to explore techniques, develop skills, and express ideas in a supportive environment. Responsibilities include assessing student progress, maintaining classroom organization, and managing art supplies and equipment safely. The teacher may also coordinate school art displays, exhibitions, or community projects to showcase student work. Strong communication and classroom management skills are essential, along with the ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Collaboration with colleagues and participation in school activities are expected. The ideal candidate demonstrates passion for the arts, creativity in teaching methods, and a commitment to inspiring students’ confidence and appreciation for visual arts.
