Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, organize, and maintain official district records, including board minutes, policies, and legal documents
- Coordinate and attend school board meetings, including agenda preparation, posting notices, and recording accurate minutes
- Ensure compliance with state and local regulations related to public records, open meetings, and elections
- Serve as a point of contact for board members, administrators, and the public regarding district governance matters
- Manage district correspondence, including official communications and public inquiries
- Assist with school board elections, budget votes, and related reporting requirements
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information
- Support administrative functions as needed to ensure smooth district operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in administrative support, records management, or public sector work preferred
- Strong organizational skills with sharp attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with education systems or municipal processes is a plus
